darkness flees ere break of day to play hide and seek on distant shores in cradled shadows the sun ignores in shades of grey from grey to black creeping forwards

falling back in shades of grey from grey to black they run away

then double back from shadows black to shallow greys after hours’

wiled away as darkness flees ere break of day awaken
